Guru Tattva refers to the universal principle of spiritual wisdom, divine consciousness, and inner guidance. It is not limited to a physical form; rather, it is the eternal flow of divine knowledge and truth within us, acting as a gateway to enlightenment.
The first time I saw my Guru’s photograph, I was shaken to my core. It felt as though someone had suddenly held a mirror before me, revealing my deepest shadow self. I still remember the moment when my sister introduced me to my Guru simply by showing me her photograph on her mobile phone. I was not ready. I instinctively avoided looking at the image because something within me was deeply stirred. My soul was being awakened, although I could not understand it at that time.
Years later, I finally understood why I had reacted so strongly. The Guru’s presence does not merely comfort us—it awakens us. It brings to the surface everything that keeps us separated from our true nature.
A Guru is the one who pulls a soul out of the places where it has remained stuck through countless lifetimes. A Guru dispels the darkness of ignorance and reveals the light that has always existed within the disciple. Rather than giving us something new, the Guru helps us remember what we have always been.
The Guru Principle is always present within each one of us, but we must first develop the sincere longing to rise above the swamp of our limitations, fears, and conditioning. The Guru’s hand is always extended, waiting patiently outside the swamp. Yet the disciple must make the first small effort by reaching out toward Guru Tattva. The moment that willingness arises, transformation begins.
A true Guru nurtures the disciple with the love and patience of a parent. There is no judgment—only compassion, guidance, and unwavering support. This guidance extends beyond the physical world into every dimension of our existence.
The Guru initiates the disciple not only outwardly but also at the deepest subtle levels of consciousness.
The Guru’s presence is always with us, whether we are aware of it or not. The Guru’s love is pure, unconditional, and deeply healing. I gradually realized that unless I opened my heart to receive the Guru’s grace, my spiritual evolution would remain limited. A disciple must surrender to Guru Tattva—to the divine grace flowing through the Guru—in order to receive universal wisdom.
Guru’s grace transforms us from within. It gradually dissolves the false identities we have carried for lifetimes and introduces us to our true Self—our eternal essence. Through the Guru, we begin to experience Satya, the Ultimate Truth.
One who resists cannot receive grace. But the one who surrenders discovers that the Guru was never separate from the Self. Guru Tattva is the divine light that has always been guiding us home.
